Welcome to the "Becoming a Geologist" webquest!!!!
Have you ever paid attention to the land while you were driving down the road? Have you ever looked around and admired the beauty of the land surrounding you? Do you ever wonder how and why the land is the way it is? If not, well, you are surely missing out on appreciating the beauty of this great land we live on. If you answered yes to any of the questions above then this webquest will answer all your questions! Each and every rock has formed in a special way and gives geologists so much information about the past.
Through this webquest you will become a geologist and study rocks in detail with the hopes that you will be able to appreciate the land that surrounds you. You will do this by researching the three types of rocks, studying geologic age, and practicing real life rock classifications. At the conclusion of this webquest, our class will travel to a real mine where we can go underground, look around, and mine for rocks!
